October is the time to harvest the potatoes but the weather always makes it difficult to get the timing right. Too early and the skins are too thin which could cause them to rot during storage, too late....and there's a list of issues. This year we harvested them before the fall rain storms.
It was a long day of fun, bonding, hardwork, potato throwing, and laughs. I loved, and still love, the time that I get to spend on the farm but more than that I love the time that Kehl get's to spend. I hope this time gives him an appreciation for work and for everything he's given.....or works for.
I love my little farmer and that he loves to be on the farm.....ALWAYS in his farm clothes.
